In memory of the strongest christian soldier, mother and sister ever known. Teresa Ann Young, 59, of Columbus went to heaven on June 19, 2023. She was born on October 3, 1964 in Wichita Falls, TX to the late Mount Vernon and Margaret Ann (Southers) Johnson.

Teresa was a member of Faith Community Church of God. She loved reading the bible and her beloved cat, Sammie. To see her in action following the Lord's decrees and instructions for generations. She has always been the sunshine that brightens up the darkness in this world. She would be happy to see each and every one of us take up our swords of faith and do as she has always done. Brighten up the darkness with a simple and random act of kindness.

She is survived by her loving son, Aaron Young; sister, Kimberly (Rod) Williamson; brother, Eric Johnson; nephews, Rodney (Courtney) Williamson, Jr., Shane (Kaylee) Williamson, Austin (Nikki) Johnson and Jacob Johnson; niece, Lauren (Kris) White; and many aunts and uncles.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Zachary Young.

A funeral service will be held at 10am on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Brucker-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4pm on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at the funeral home.
