A funeral service for Thelma A. Lambert, 87 of Mount Vernon, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery, Newark.
Friends may call 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the funeral home.
Thelma passed away July 17, 2017 at Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born March 8, 1930, in Utica, Licking Co. to the late Arthur N. and Jenny A. (Baughman) Farley.
Thelma was a lifelong member of the Ohio Eastern Star, Lodge #551 and worked as office manager/dental assistant at the Starwood Dental Clinic in Utica for many years prior to her retirement.
Thelma was the oldest of eight children with three sisters and four brother.
She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and John Small of Mount Vernon, Karen and Steve Bascomb of Pleasantville, three grandsons, Troy (Michelle) Hoeflich, Bryan (Kassie) Hoeflich, and Phillip (Jennifer) Small, seven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, sisters, Wilma Luzio of Newark and Mildred Rothert of Toledo, brothers, Henry Farley of Utica and Harry Farley of St. Louisville, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John F. Lambert who passed away March 1, 1993; one great-grandson, John Hoeflich; two brothers, Rufus and Harvey Farley and one sister, Julia Soles.
