Obituary

A funeral service for Thomas L. Perkins, 89, of Johnstown will be held at 1pm on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Harmony Baptist Church, 7951 Harmony Church Rd., Johnstown with Pastor Kevin Ashbrook officiating. The family will receive friends from 11am-1pm prior to the service. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Tom passed away on February 26, 2023 at the Inn at Chapel Grove in Heath. He was born on June 19, 1933 in Dundalk, MD to the late Carl and Laura Fay (Hepburn) Perkins.

He served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He went on many mission trips with various church groups. He donated blood with the Red Cross for over 50 years.

He is survived by his children, Kim Davis, Clint (Elizabeth) Perkins, Stephanie (Eric) Stephens and Stuart (Kerry) Moats; grandchildren, Kameron Davis, Kaylee Perkins, Michael Perkins, Brian (Christina) Stephens, Madison (Evan) Russell, Sarah (Jonathan) Priest and Rachel Moats; five great-grandchildren; and his faithful dog, Kobe.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Helen (Canaday) Perkins; step-children, Steve Moats and Susie Moats; and sisters, Mary Glen, Virginia, Amy, and Carol.

A special thanks to the Inn at Chapel Grove for their wonderful care and compassion during his time there.
