A memorial service for Thomas H. Staugh, 83, of Newark will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Bob Adelsperger officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by the Licking County Veterans Alliance. The family will receive friends from 12-1pm prior to the service.

Tom passed away on December 23, 2022. He was born on July 29, 1939 in Marion County, WV to the late Howard Russell and Bernice Elizabeth (Truex) Staugh.

Tom retired from the Army National Guard. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his family.

He is survived by his children, Crystal (Ronald) Rector, David (Serena) Staugh, James (Phyllis) Staugh and Tasha (Kurt) Dearing; grandchildren, Christopher Kreager, Kristin (Christopher) Richey, Timmy, Brittany, Kyle (Erin) and Melissa Staugh, William and Logan Dearing; great-grandchildren, McKenna, Madalyn, Cyzer and Carissa Coleman; sister, Peggy (Delbert) Osborn; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Delores "Tiny" Staugh; and sister, Mitzie Sabo.
