Tommy L. Rose
July 2, 1957-February 17, 2021
Tommy L. Rose, 63, of Johnstown, passed away on February 17, 2021 at his home. He was born on July 2, 1957 in Columbus to the late James Rose and Opal Jean (Horn) Byrant.
Tommy was a member of the Church of the Ascension in Johnstown. He worked at Fischer's Produce and had previously worked at Callif Produce.
Tommy will be remembered by how much he loved. His family was everything to him. He could frequently be found playing with his grandchildren, manning the grill at all family functions, laughing and enjoying a drink with his wife, daughters, sons-in-law and friends or cheering on the Dallas Cowboys. His love extended to his community where he frequently donated and aided those in need.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Christy (Wesley) Rose; daughters, Cynthia (Foster) Anderson, Catherine (Webster) Stowe, Kristyn (Aleksandar) Mitrevski and Sara Rose; grandchildren, Lily, Thomas, Cora, Owen, Rose, and Tony; siblings, Jeanie (Yves) Barre and Ronnie (Linda) Rose; his wife's siblings, Carolyn (Tony) Boesch, Louis (Rhada) Wesley, John (Mary) Wesley, Jim Wesley, Marie (Allen) Dauer, Joe (Cindy) Wesley, Mike (Terry Johnson) Wesley and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his father-in-law Louis Wesley, mother-in-law Frances Wesley and sister-in-law Donna Wesley.
Funeral visitation hours will be held at the Church of the Ascension, 10 A.M. - 12 P.M., Saturday, February 27, 2021. The family requests that all CDC recommendations regarding proper mask wearing be observed.
A private funeral mass celebrating Tommy's life will be held directly following the visitation with Fr. Mark Ghiloni as celebrant and Fr. Anthony Lonzo as concelebrant.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials to Tommy be made to the Nationwide Children's Hospital Neurology Program.
