VC Conley

October 2, 1934 – April 13, 2018

A funeral service for VC Conley, 83 of Utica, will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the Covenant Church of God, 13360 New Delaware Rd. Mount Vernon. The eulogy will be given by his nephew, Roger Conley. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in New Haven.

Friends may call 2-4, and 6-8 pm, Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Covenant Church of God.

VC passed away. April 13, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born October 2, 1934 in Knott County, KY to the late Bill and Dovie (Walden) Conley.

VC was passionate about his family, children, grandchildren, hunting, bluegrass music, playing a good game of Rook or Euchre, watching a western on TV, and socializing with many in the community as he never knew a stranger. He retired from the Air Force Missile Base as supply/inventory coordinator.

H e isn't merely survived by, he was adored, loved, celebrated and he is deeply missed by his children, Vicki (Richard) White of Utica, Terry (Marsha) Conley of Newark, Darla Balka of Utica, Lisa (Shawn) Walters of St. Louisville, Amanda (Fred) Sposa of Utica; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Lafferty and Gladys (Jesse) Ousley; many nieces and nephews.

H e is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Bette (Horne) Conley; parents; brothers, Manis, Curtly, Herbert and Junior Conley; sisters, Garnett Wicker, Narcie Bolen, Corsie Pederson and Thelma Shepherd.
