Vera M. Bash

A funeral service for Vera M. Bash, 92 of Mount Vernon, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Brandon Baptist Church, 13513 Sycamore Rd., Mount Vernon with Pastor Marvin Haught officiating. Burial will follow in Brandon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00-11:30 a.m. prior to the funeral service.

Mrs. Bash passed away March 19, 2016 at Selma Markowitz Care Center, Newark. She was born January 6, 1924, in Licking County to the late Sterling and Doris A. (Lahmon) Clements.

Mrs. Bash was a member of Brandon Baptist Church and loved doing word search puzzles, traveling and crocheting. Vera's favorite job was working the vegetable stand in Sebring, FL.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Norman E. Bash of Mount Vernon; sons and daughter-in-law, John Yoakam, Jr., Allen and Marcina Bash all of Homer; daughter, Keitha Bash of Mount Vernon; step-daughters, Elaine Bockover of Englewood, Marjorie Higgins of Mount Vernon; five step-grandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Donald and Charles Clements.
