Virginia L. Hendrickson, 64, of Utica passed away on November 13, 2022 at the Selma Markowitz Center in Newark. She was born on September 24, 1958 in Newark to the late Richard E. and Maxine L. (Showalter) Dehmann.

Gigi is survived by her husband of 45 years, Gary Hendrickson; daughters, Andrea (Nate) Orr and Rebecca (Heath) Manning; grandchildren, Ethyn Smith, Ian Orr, Alisha (Jeremiah) Hansan and Benni Orr; siblings, Gary Dehmann, Darlene Wilson, Larry Dehmann, Tom (Debbie) Dehmann, Barb (Gary) Ullom and Buddy (Melissa) Dehmann; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters-in-law, Georgia and Barb Dehmann; and brother-in-law, Tom Wilson.

Gigi and Gary had several dogs over the course of their years together and she loved them all. She also loved flowers and enjoyed learning about them and caring for them. She had a special place in her heart for the elderly and compassion for homeless people. She was happiest while spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be missed by everyone who was blessed to know her.
