Virginia L. "Ginny" Hamilton
May 6, 1916-August 4, 2017
A funeral service for Virginia L. "Ginny" Hamilton, 101 of St. Louisville, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica with Pastor Ben McKinstry officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery.
Friends may call 5:00-7::00 p.m. Tuesday, August 8. 2017 at the funeral home.
Ginny passed away August 4, 2017 at Brookdale Senior Living, Newark. She was born May 6, 1916, in Highwater to the late Virgil A. and Clara M. (Schulze) Sanders.
Ginny was member of the Church of Christ, 4-H and the Farm Bureau Association Women's Committee where she served for many years and was a former chairperson. Along with raising her family, she worked tirelessly canning, managing the farm, and delivering her many batches of eggs and strawberries to local markets.
Ginny was very hard working, but always maintained her cheerful sense of humor and lively character. She not only raised her own children, but mothered multiple foster children through the years.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Jeanne Hamilton, daughter and son-in-law, Arlene and Lennie Trickett, all of St. Louisville, six grandchildren, Tracy (Sue) Trickett, Tina (Eric) Bryan, Tonia (Ken) Trovinger, Lisa (Curtis) Bragg, Heidi (Jerid) Shuryan, Rob (Shawnda) Hamilton, ten great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Hamilton who passed away May 26, 1997; two brothers and four sisters.
