Obituary

A funeral service for Virginia Fay Ward, 87, of Martinsburg will be held at 2pm on Monday, March 7, 2022 at Bell Church of Christ, 20871 Bell Church Rd., Utica with Evangelist Larry Jackson and Minister Steven Williams officiating.  Burial will follow at Bell Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 12-2pm prior to the service.

Fay passed away on March 2, 2022 at Centerburg Pointe.  She was born on September 6, 1934 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Henry Clayton and Delores Madonna (Brown) Sherman.

Fay was a member of the Martinsburg Church of Christ and Bell Church of Christ.  She was a member of the Eastern Star, Glenwood Chapter #303.  She was a retired school bus driver and drove for North Fork, Mt. Vernon and Northridge.  She was also the owner of Bottom Line tax business.  She was a collector of lighthouses.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Ginny and Steven Williams and A. Marie and Jack Ball; sons and daughters-in-law, Art and Cheryl Ward, Jr. and Carl and Kim Ward; ten grandchildren, Victoria Williams, Joshua Ball, Christy Ball, Art Ward III, Clayton Ward, Anissa Ward, Edward Salmons, Britney Cottrell, Caleb Salmons and Angela Silva; eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur L. Ward, Sr.; daughter and son-in-law, Delores and Randy O'Meara; and sister, Patricia Carpenter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Kindred Hospice, 112 Harcourt Rd. #3, Mt. Vernon, OH 43050.
