Utica - A funeral service for William W. Rose, 88 of Utica, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2016 at Law-Baker Funeral Home with Deacon Tim Birie presiding. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Newark.

Friends may call 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., Monday, January 4, 2016 at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N Main St., Utica.

Mr. Rose passed away December 30, 2015 at Genesis Health Care/New Lexington Center, New Lexington. He was born August 9, 1927, in Athens to the late Otto H. and Millicent (Paget) Rose.

He was a member of Church of the Nativity Catholic Church, Utica and a retired Brick mason Local #52 in Athens. Bill was a World War II Army Infantry Veteran.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, James R. Rose of Circleville, Paul W. and Mary Rose of Chandler, AZ, Michael W. Rose and Stephanie Estes of Palm Harbor, FL, Donald A. and Anna Rose of Mount Vernon; daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy L. Rose of Sarasota, FL, Karen J. Hoffman of Circleville, Donna J. Rose and Richard Yee of St. Louisville, Marie and Mike Blaney of Crooksville; seventeen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Watkins of Van Wert, Marge Wiley of Lima.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. (Wagner) Rose who passed away October 24, 2006; brother, Robert E. Tracey; sisters, Pauline Gabriel, Mae Marquis, Martha Heffernan.
