Wilma Jean Linger

A graveside service for Wilma Jean Linger, 84, of Johnstown will be held at 1:30pm on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Green Hill Cemetery in Johnstown with Rev. Harry Miller officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11am-1pm prior to the graveside service at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.

Wilma passed away on December 16, 2021 at Mt. Carmel East. She was born on August 2, 1937 in Chattaroy, WV to the late Menifee and Anna Marie (McIntosh) Farris.

Wilma was a member of Fairview Freewill Baptist Church and retired from Tech International. She loved bluegrass gospel music, reading and most of all, she loved her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Charolette (Squeak) Lee, Debbie Cordle Stepp and Judy (Rick) DeNune; son, Tony (Sarah) Linger, Sonya Praither-Linger; step-son, Russ Linger; grandchildren, Devon (Sean Martin) Stepp, Ben (Lindsay) Stepp, Ashleigh (Eric) Putman, Treven Linger and Jenna DeNune; step-grandchildren, Chris, Scott, Matt, Rusty, Tammy and Rob Linger, Brian Lenzo, Stacy Lambright and Brad Householder; great-grandsons, Emmett and Harrison Stepp, Sean Martin "SJ" and Wesley Putman; brothers, George Farris, Robert Farris and Calvin (Pam) Farris; sisters, Eva Linger, Shirley (Jim) Simpson and Carol (Jim) Kitts; and many many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her husband, Gleo Linger; parents, Menifee and Anna Farris; sisters, Alma Gussler and Helen Miller; brothers, Milo, Charles and Verlon Farris; step-sons, Ron Linger and Bob Linger; step-daughter, Pud Grunewald; and step-grandson, Adrean Linger.
